Sub: Make up test policy – Guidelines - reg.

This is to inform that Make up test will be conducted for all tests which are conducted as part of continuous in semester examinations. Such make up tests will be conducted from 13th to 16th April, 2016.
The student can, however, take only one makeup test i.e. Test 1 or Test 2 or Test 3 except in case No.4 listed below.
Eligibility Criteria for appearing Make-up Test:
1. In cases where a student is severely ill and is unable to appear physically for the test. This must be supplemented by Certificates from Doctor (Not below rank of Assistant Civil Surgeon), along with medical prescriptions and copies of case file of the illness. However, these proofs have to be submitted to the Head of the Department concerned before the last instruction day.
2. In case a student presents a paper in Conferences (or) Technical competitions organized by IITs / NIITs / Central Universities (or) by professional societies like IEEE / ASME / CSI / IE INDIA etc. The proofs of such participation must be submitted by students immediately after their return from attending such events to the Head of the Department concerned.
3. In case where a student has certain important family functions like marriages / engagements in one’s own immediate family i.e. Brothers / sisters or self, the student must approach the Head of the Department concerned at least one week before the actual schedule of the term with proofs of such functions with duly signed letter from parent.
4. In case any student participates in sports / games competitions at District / State / National / International level or represents the University in any competition. The student has to take permission from the Head of the Department concerned and submit the Participation Certificate duly authorized by the Physical Education Director of the University after coming back from the competitions.
In any of the above specified cases, any student can seek “make up test” for any one of the “test” components, except in case No.4 and in no case a student will be permitted to seek more than one “test” components towards make up test for any course.
Head of the Department concerned shall receive all such applications on or before 11.04.2016(Monday) and ensure that, no student will be permitted for not more than one test (T1/T2/T3) and consolidate the list and shall submit by 12.04.2016 to the Controller of Examinations, duly approved by the Principal / Director to conduct the make-up test, and Controller of Examinations shall schedule all the make-up examination in three calendar days, courses the student has to take.
